It’s been almost 10 years since I wrote a blog post. But here is the thing: if you can’t beat them, join them. It’s a sad fact: Indian Books cannot compete against Amazon. So we joined them! In upcoming posts you will find book recommendations of titles we don’t sell in our own shop, but are definitely worth a read. Links are either to our own shop, or affiliated with Amazon. It will not cost you anything extra, but it will help to keep Indian Books in business. But first: meet the person behind Indian Books.
So let me introduce myself: I am Raaghnie Autar, I really(!) enjoy to introduce myself as the author of my autobiography: RANI – Het persoonlijke verhaal van een Hindoestaanse millennial. These days I’m busy working on the English translation – stay tuned.
I started to sell Indian books about 4 or 5 years ago, to friends and family first. Later on my social media to everyone I was connected with and since 2022 on this website to everyone. Some of the books we sell at our shop are so exclusive, you might not find them anywhere else in the Netherlands. And that’s actually what got me started…
When I’m not working or reading I take care of my bunny (her name is Laddoo) or I’m watching live stand-up comedy (I consider myself professional audience).
